Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Indiana is one of those places that is a lot more awesome the more you peel away. Once you’ve explored, say, Indianapolis, you might find yourself in another town… and then another… and another. It’s a multifaceted, beautiful place with SO many layers to flip through that it can get a little overwhelming at times. Take the little town of Zionsville, Indiana, population: 30,693 as of the 2020 census. It’s a cute place to relax and explore, and I’ve found the perfect place to call home while you’re at it. Come see! This adorable little home is one of our favorite unique places to stay in Zionsville, Indiana.
Zionsville may be a small(ish) town, but it's got big spirit - and that's part of why I love it so much.
With plenty of unique restaurants, eateries, shops, boutiques, and more, it makes for an amazing escape from... well, just about anywhere! Hoosiers often choose to vacation here, and folks hoping to experience Indiana at its best would benefit from a visit.
While you're here, I've gone and found the perfect little home base: this gorgeous, single-family vacation home nestled in the woods.
In summer, it's excellent for keeping the bugs out. It's also wonderful for rainy days, when you can curl up with a good book and read for hours to a backdrop of rainfall pattering to the ground.
The open floor plan is really nice, and it gives this already-spacious (3,000 square feet!) home an even bigger overall feel. It's clean and modern, with TV, internet, board games, and more to keep you occupied.
Should you want to explore town (which I strongly recommend!), there are plenty of things to do and see nearby.
Zionsville is a delight, but you're also in close proximity to towns like Carmel, which offers even MORE amazing restaurants, shops and galleries to enjoy and/or fall in love with.
Once you've explored enough for the day, come back to your cozy little homebase and settle down.
It's an amazing stay in an amazing place, and I think you'll adore it as much as I did.
For more photos and to book your stay (which I again advise you to do in advance!), be sure to visit the official VRBO listing. And did you know that Zionsville is the pie capital of Indiana? Well, now you do – all the more reason to visit. Do you know of any other unique places to stay in Zionsville, Indiana? Let me know all about ’em!
