Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.

Something so amazingly delectable that you find yourself needing more at least a few times a week? Because we’ve found this little mom-and-pop shop in Upland that’s both a throwback to simpler times and a modern-day hub of dessert perfection. Famous for having more than 100 shakes and more than 100 sundaes, Ivanhoe’s Drive-In is also home to a bit of an unexpected win: the best strawberry shortcake in Indiana (if not the country… if not the world!). Ivanhoe's Drive-In was formerly known as Wiley's Drive-In.
It's been a local staple for the best snack bar and/or comfort food there is, and some of the most delectable desserts on this side of the U.S. It was originally established in 1965, and it's been going strong ever since.
From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by an assortment of scents that are sure to tempt your senses into eating much more than you originally planned to, but we're not here to judge.

If you don't feel the urge to try and eat your phone or computer screen, then you're a special kind of strong that we envy. We cannot resist the sweet, fruity perfection of a good old-fashioned strawberry shortcake, and these ones hit the spot just right.
It's not even JUST the shortcake that makes Ivanhoe's Drive-In worth visiting.
There's also a menu filled with classics like nachos, burgers, fruit salad, and, of course, classic Indiana breaded tenderloin. It's a great stop for a low-key date night or just an easy bite to eat.
Of course, the main draw is the incredible dessert menu.
Like we mentioned above, Ivanhoe's is famous thanks to its 100 variations of both milkshakes and sundaes. So, if somehow the strawberry shortcake doesn't suit you, you're good - there is MORE than enough left to choose from.
Ivanhoe's Drive-In is a must-do for Hoosiers in search of the best strawberry shortcake in Indiana... if not the nation.
