Tori Jane is a storm chaser, writer, photographer, and the village idiot - in that order. When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Looking for interesting but unique ways to kill some time? Maybe it’s a lazy day off, and you don’t really want to stay home, but you’re not about to go hiking or anything strenuous, either. Well, you’re in luck, because there’s a super-unique thing to do to kill all the time you need in Benton County, Indiana: what was Indiana’s very first wind farm now offers tours for curious visitors. All wind farms are nice, but this wind farm in Indiana takes it just a little above and beyond.
Editor’s Note: Unfortunately, since time of publication, the wind farm no longer offers tours.
It’s important to remember that tours must be booked in advance; they do not currently offer walk-up tours. Make sure to double-check their website to find the most up-to-date booking information and visiting hours.
Would you tour a wind farm for the day? What will you daydream about?
