Indiana is an outrageously beautiful place, wouldn’t you agree? It’s as if no matter where we turn, we’re bound to find breathtakingly amazing places in Indiana to add to our seemingly endless bucket lists; today is no different. We’ve gone through and found six downright stunning hidden gems in Indiana that even plenty of locals either forget about altogether or don’t know about at all, and we think they’ll quickly earn a place or two on that aforementioned list! Spring Mill State Park simply does NOT get enough accolades. It's like something out of a fairy tale, with vibrant emerald greens in the spring and summer and vibrant foliage in autumn. The historic buildings on the grounds only add to the perfectly photogenic reality that is Spring Mill State Park, and you'll absolutely want to bring a camera along for this one.

2. Angel Mounds Native American Historic Site, Evansville
Angel Mounds Native American Historic Site in Evansville is jaw-droppingly beautiful, even though it's technically something of a burial ground. It's a remarkably well-preserved site built sometime around A.D. 1000, and it belonged to people of the Mississippian culture. It's as mysterious and fascinating as it is beautiful, and we think you need to add it to that to-do list as fast as possible. This is a special treat for fans of Native American history!
If you've ever wondered which park is thought to be among the most beautiful city parks in Indiana, one of the potential answers to the question is definitely the Sunken Gardens in Huntington. It was once an abandoned quarry, and now it's a veritable paradise.
When it comes to outrageously photogenic campgrounds in Indiana, it doesn't get much better than the amazing Hardin Ridge Recreation Area in Bloomington. It's a 1,200-acre slice of paradise that you won't soon forget - especially if you're like us and you "accidentally" end up with 1,400 pictures by the time you leave. No regrets!

5. Coffee Creek Watershed Conservancy Preserve, Chesterton
This is one of those beautiful places in Indiana that many Hoosiers are simply unfortunate enough not to know about. For those of us who DO know about it, though, it's a perfect way to kill an entire afternoon no matter what time of year it might be. Expect 157 acres of perfection from the moment you arrive.
Last but by no means least on this list of hidden gems in Indiana is the astoundingly lovely Summit Lake State Park, which is home to a sparkling, 800-acre lake and 2,680 acres of natural splendor to admire. There are 120 campsites available, and this particular little place is rarely ever full. We think you'll adore it.
