If you love fresh seafood, there’s a beach restaurant in Evansville, Indiana you’ve got to try. From the decor to the amazing eats, this place will make you think you’ve taken a trip to the ocean.
Crab, fish, clams, and oysters abound at this unique and popular eatery. Scroll on to learn all about it.
Catfish Willy's has been in business for about eight years, but it hasn't always been in Indiana. This popular seafood joint got its start in Owensboro, Kentucky before opening a second location in Evansville in 2018.
The second location did so well that the owners decided to make it the only location and actually closed the Owensboro spot. Now, Kentuckians have to drive across the river to us to get the delicious, fresh eats from this place.
The best thing about this beach restaurant (other than the food) is the decor. The walls are covered in fish nets, nautical signs, palm trees, surf boards, and other aquatic-themed features that will instantly transport you to the ocean.
Top to the bottom, this marvelous restaurant is truly something to see.

When it comes to the food, you can get fresh seafood by the pound, including clams, shrimp, mussels, crawfish, and snow and king crab legs. You can also get oysters by the dozen as well as lobster tail and full lobsters.
Additional seafood favorites include fried catfish, fried oysters, crab cakes, grilled salmon, hand-battered cod, shrimp n' grits, po' boys, tacos, and appetizers like scallops and calamari, hush puppies, and fried green tomatoes.
Additional appetizers and sides include mozzarella sticks, green bean fries, fried okra, corn on the cob, sweet n' tangy slaw, and grilled red potatoes.
If seafood dishes like this are too much, don't worry. You don't have to love fish and crab to eat at this beach restaurant. Turf dishes like chicken strips, cheeseburger sliders, and select tacos will keep you grounded. There are also a couple meats that straddle the line like frogs legs and gator.
Catfish Willy's Seafood & Crab Shack is open six days each week. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
