The Studebaker National Museum in northern Indiana takes visitors through the history of cars, which goes back more than 150 years. This wonderful place has been at its current location since 2005 and has three levels of exhibits.
The Studebaker Corporation gave its collection of cars to the city of South Bend in 1966. It was displayed at several temporary locations before being moved to the Discovery Hall Museum in 1977.
In 1992, the museum moved to the Freeman-Spicer Building before moving most recently in 2005.

The 55,000 square-foot museum aims to preserve the legacy and industry of the city of South Bend. It does this by preserving antique vehicles and displaying them for locals to enjoy.
The main collection of old cars at this museum includes 33 antique vehicles of all shapes, sizes, and colors. There are also rotating exhibits that feature other historical cars and other Studebaker-related artifacts.
In addition to old cars, visitors will find antique carriages, wagons, historic military vehicles, artwork, and even interactive areas. There are two hands-on exhibits about the textures of cars and road surfaces as well as a play area for kids.
Studebaker history goes back to the mid-1800s. From triumphs to failures to accidents, this company has seen it all. Find archives of old photographs, blueprints, films, and much more.
The museum is open Monday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. as well as Sunday between noon and 5 p.m. Members and children below the age of 5 may enter for free. Otherwise, admission is between $6 and $15.
