Taking place May 4-5, 2019, the Boone County Treasure Hunt in central Indiana is the ultimate bargain hunter lover's weekend. There's definitely something for everyone as it consists of three different antique shows (and an auction) in one.
This incredible antique treasure hunt happens a couple times each year at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds, and it draws a large crowd. An additional show will take place later this year the weekend of September 21-22, 2019.
One of the most unique parts of this shopping experience is the Boone County Gas and Oil show. It is known for vintage gas pumps, oil cans, as well as signs and adverting from decades ago.
There's also the Boone County Vintage Market that is known for its myriad of items from at least as long ago as the mid-1900s. You'll also find ancient relics as well as repurposed goods and other vintage finds.
Most popular is the Indy Ad Show, which is in its 45th year. This is the best place to find antique signs like old-fashioned general store displays, salesman samples, soda fountain signs, as well as toys, barber shop poles, coin machines, slot machines, juke boxes, and so much more. Dealers from around the country come together at this marvelous market to sell their rare items.
Show hours are Saturday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. as well as Sunday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. According to its website (which you can find a link to below), an auction begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday after the show.
Tickets are currently on sale for this marvelous bargain-lover's event. A one-day pass is $8 while a two-day pass is $10. Tickets will go on sale at the gate the day of the show.
