1. Cook County
There were 137,000 crashes in Cook County, resulting in 27,000 injuries and 200 fatalities.
2. DuPage County
In DuPage County, there were almost 20,000 accidents, including 4,500 injuries and 25 fatalities.
3. Lake County
There were 13,000 accidents in Lake County, with 3,000 injuries and 30 fatalities.
4. Kane County
In Kane County, there were just under 10,000 crashes, with 2,500 injuries and 27 fatalities.
5. Champaign County
Down in Champaign County, there are 3,000 traffic accidents a year. In this particular year, it resulted in 700 injuries and 17 fatalities.
6. Kankakee County
Kankakee County drivers experience 2100 crashes each year, with 500 injuries and 12 fatalities.
7. LaSalle County
Over in LaSalle County, there are 2,000 crashes each year, resulting in 450 injuries and 10 fatalities.
8. Kendall County
In Kendall County, there are just around 1,700 car crashes each year. This resulted in about 400 injuries and seven fatalities.
9. DeKalb County
In DeKalb County, there were 1,500 car accidents, resulting in 400 cases of injury and 6 fatalities.
10. Jackson County
Down in Jackson County, there were 1,300 car crashes, including 300 injuries and 4 fatalities.
