I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
There is no doubt the holiday season is a magical time of year, and the Quad City Botanical Center has its own magic on display with Winter Nights Winter Lights in Rock Island. The botanical center has transformed its gardens into a winter wonderland with over 130,000 twinkling lights, transporting visitors into a magical fairytale world.
The outdoor gardens, including the lawns, ponds, pocket gardens, and Children's Garden, will be aglow with dreamy twinkling lights and displays for visitors to walk through.
You may want to book A Date Night between December 17-31, 2020. Grab your significant other or best friends, and head to the Botanical Center for a Winter Nights Garden Stroll and special exhibit guide just for date night guests. Advanced registration is required.
Children may drop a letter off to Santa at the red mailbox by the entrance tent through December 23. You do not have to attend Winter Nights Winter Lights to drop off a letter.
A Santa letter template is available to download from the Quad City Botanical Center's website.
Winter Nights Winter Lights runs from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. nightly (except for Christmas) through January 10, 2021. Tickets must be purchased in advance and can be done so on the website. Masks are required at the event.
