I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
Summer will be over before you know it, so it’s imperative to get in all the camping and other outdoor adventures you can before the season is over and the cold weather comes back with a vengeance. If you’re still planning to fill the rest of your summer calendar, there’s one place filled with adventure you may want to add. Williams Hill Pass OHV Park and Campground offers outdoor recreation for the adventurer in all of us. So grab your four-wheelers and head on down to Harrisburg for the time of your life!
Located on 220 acres of private property within the Shawnee National Forest, Williams Hill OHV Park and Campground offers OHV-riding opportunities to riders of all ages. A campground site and cabins are also found on the property.
This not-for-profit recreation park boasts 27 miles of OHV trails through fields and forests. There are two trail systems - one for more aggressive drivers and one that's more family-friendly. There's even a children's track that kids are going to love!
Want to spend more time out on the trails? Consider spending the night at the campground or in one of the cabins and extend your stay. Primitive and 50-amp electric campsites are available with picnic tables and fire rings. All campers have access to the shower house located at the Welcome Center which also has firewood for sale.
If you prefer, cabins are also available for rent. Each cabin has heat, a/c, beds, tables and chairs, a picnic table, and a fire ring where you can cook your own food. You must bring your own sheets, towels, and toiletries.
When you're not out on your UTV or ATV, enjoy miles of hiking trails and catch-and-release fishing. It's such a beautiful park offering a place for both fun and relaxation!
