With hotter and humid weather upon us, it’s time to decide where to cool off. We could always stay indoors with the air conditioning but who wants to do that after being cooped up all winter? Ferne Clyffe State Park is home to a beautiful intermittent waterfall that can be found along a short trail. In fact, this out-and-back trail is only 0.7-miles long and easy enough for children to hike along.

Big Rocky Hollow Trail is rated easy and is accessible year-round. It's close to a campground and many people use this trail for bird watching.

Once you get to the waterfall, you'll be amazed at the sight, especially if you're there after a rainfall. This 100-foot waterfall is intermittent so it will look more impressive on certain days and not on others.
