There’s little reason for you to worry about the upcoming seasons when we’re expected to have a warm winter. The Farmer’s Almanac has released its predictions for the upcoming months, and we think you’ll be pretty pleased.
Find out what the weather will be like this winter so you can plan accordingly. Scroll on to learn more.
First of all, let's begin with what you can expect for the rest of this month. Just like all of this summer, August will continue to be hot hot hot, so don't put those flip flops and shorts away yet.
Things will start to cool off as we head into early September, but by the mid- to late part of the month, summer returns for one last hurrah complete with thunder storms and hot temps. We can never have a smooth transition in Illinois.
Don't expect things to cool off completely anytime soon. The Farmer's Almanac is calling for a wet and warm winter in our region of the county. In fact, most of the nation will experience mild or warm winters.
This phenomenon is due to a whether pattern known as El Nino, which is ever-changing back and forth with its sister system, El Nina. Though this pattern is related to a patch of warm water in the Pacific Ocean, it affects the entire county.
So, you'll likely be seeing more of this rather than pillowy snow drifts in your backyard. Along with warmer temperatures than normal, we will also see less snow and more rain.
At least it likely won't look like this when you go on your holiday travels. Thank your lucky stars that this will hopefully be a milder and less dangerous season. Now, you can spend more time outdoors doing what you like best.
