When you’re looking for comfort food, German cuisine’s got you covered. From savory schnitzel to spicy sausages, you’ll delight your tastebuds and fill your belly. Pretzels are one of the best German snacks, and this little restaurant serves up one that’s as big as a pizza:
The Radler opened in 2013, and has become one of Chicago's best beer halls. You'll find it at 2375 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, IL 60647.
If you're in the mood for a smaller snack, you can't go wrong with a pretzel. The pretzels at The Radler are the perfect combination of chewy and tender, and just the right amount of salt.
Order the Giant Pretzel and you and several friends will have a snack worthy of a king. This two-pound beast covers the tray it's served on, and is accompanied by barley malt butter, blackberry jam, and haus mustards.
You'll love the atmosphere at The Radler, and you'll want to play Radler-Schlagen - a German drinking game that involves competitors hammering nails into a huge tree stump. The last one with a nail still standing is the winner!
Visit The Radler Tuesday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m..
