Featuring homemade meals and the friendliest service around, Dad's Bar & Grill / Pinecricker Cafe is a local favorite that is most popular during the summer months.
The gorgeous outdoor patio is dog-friendly and available whenever the weather is nice. In operation for more than 16 years, this restaurant's patio features a fire pit and space for private parties.
Pinecricker Cafe is a family-owned and -operated business that began in 2002. It has undergone several renovations over the years, including the addition of banquet space for receptions and other private gatherings.
This little-known summer restaurant prefers to serve fresh foods, and it is just about as close to farm-to-table as can be. Grandma Wragg grows a garden that contributes to the menu, and she is also responsible for making all the desserts.
Menu items include burgers, a wealth of classic sandwiches, chicken and seafood baskets, as well as soups and salads. By way of appetizers, locals will find mini tacos, cheese curds, corn nuggets, wings, and much more.
There are also six craft beers on tap at any given time, some of which change seasonally.
According to the Pinecricker Cafe's website, a Pinecricker is anyone who hails from the Pinecreek township, which is situated west of the Rock River and south of Rockford. Whether or not you fall into this category, you'll find this summer restaurant pleasing.
Become a Pinecricker yourself and visit Dad’s Bar & Grill / Pinecricker Cafe at 124 E Mason St., Polo, IL 61064. You can keep up with it through its website or official Facebook page.
