This is part of the concept behind Sugargoat, a new bakery that transforms nostalgic food memories into new and exciting desserts. Let’s see what fun flavor combinations can be found at this innovative bakery.
Sugargoat bakery was created by Top Chef Season 4 winner Stephanie Izard who is also the owner of the Goat, Little Goat, and Duck Duck Goat restaurants in Chicago. She, along with pastry chef Faith Teheny, draw inspiration from childhood flavor combinations.
Try one of the uniquely flavored cakes like the Pancake Cake which is reminiscent of the favorite breakfast food topped with maple syrup. Caramel Corn Cake has many caramel elements and topped with caramel corn pieces. And then there's the Cheez-It Cake made with cheddar caramel buttercream, strawberry Nesquik buttercream, and peanut butter Cheez-it crunch.
Cupcakes come in a variety of flavors as well, many the same as the cakes. Order one or order a dozen! Gluten-free options for both cakes and cupcakes are also available.
The pies also come in some interesting flavors. Try the Chocolate Shake French Fry Pie for a trip down memory lane. Or maybe you want something more classic like French Silk Pie with a chocolate shortbread crust.
