Straw Fest takes place Saturday, August 24, 2019 but events begin as early as August 9, 2019 in a small town in northern Illinois.

Known as the U.S. National Straw Sculpting Competition, the first few weeks of the event consist of sculpting and voting. There will be live music the first and second weekends of the event.

The day of the Straw Fest, there will be food trucks available between 11:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. as well as booths with antiques for sale between noon and 4 p.m.
