If someone told you that there was a vintage shop full of taxidermy, strange medical devices, skeletons, and other creepy items hidden in a quiet neighborhood of Chicago, would you believe them?
We wouldn’t have either, until we came across Woolly Mammoth Antiques & Oddities. Their unique selection is like nothing you’ve ever seen before!
This store may look fairly normal from the outside, but there are unbelievable things inside.
Nestled in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago among cute boutiques and delicious restaurants, you would never see this place coming. Search for the neon signs and take a step inside...if you think you're ready for it!
When you enter the shop, you simply won't know where to look first.
If you just glance around, it might look like a regular antique shop. But, take a look closer and you'll find some pretty wild items.
They are never short on skulls.
Though the shop is full of all kinds of bones, skulls are some of the most popular items. Take your pick of tons of different types of animals; they truly have it all.
Need some creepy antique medical equipment? They've got you covered.
From fake limbs to old surgical kits, those with an affinity for the strange will certainly find something to purchase. The old syringes are especially unsettling.
Scary clowns are all the rage at Woolly Mammoth.
There's something so creepy about their painted smiling faces. If you are at all afraid of clowns, you might want to cover your eyes!
Let's not forget taxidermy; they have plenty of strange stuffed things for the taking.
If a deer above the fireplace just isn't interesting enough, you can always find something unexpected at this shop. Why not take home an angry squirrel or a hissing cat?
