This historic lodge has been open for nearly a century and offers a charming restaurant, gift shop, and cozy cabins. One of the best state park lodges happens to be at Pere Marquette State Park. The Pere Marquette Lodge & Conference Center was handmade during the Great Depression by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Also built by the Civilian Conservation Coprs in the 1930s, the Giant City Lodge is charmingly rustic and spacious. Open seasonally from the first Friday in February until mid-December, guests can enjoy accommodations in either the lodge or in a cabin, including one of 12 original cabins built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, on-site amenities like a bar, restaurant, lounge, and gift shop, and access to Giant City State Park.
