Weather conditions change so often in Illinois that it can be hard to keep up. We always know to wear layers no matter what the weather person says in case the day ends up warmer or colder than anticipated.
These monstrous sandwiches are a favorite throughout the Midwest. Whether your favorite is at the county fair or at your local diner, you likely know where to get one of these beauties.

No self-respecting Illinoisan would be caught dead without some necessities in the car. If you don't know the purpose of each of these items, you shouldn't be driving in the snow.

This goes for homes too. Again with the weather, sometimes it can be freezing cold here, while in other months, temperatures soar and humidity rises. There's no way to stay comfortable without controlled air.
Whether on the highway or a country back road, Illinoisans love to break the speed limit. You'll find speed demons zooming past you in their sports cars on the highway or in their SUVs and trucks on the unmarked ones.

While those Illinoisans who live near Minnesota may not agree, there's no denying that Chicago is an amazing city that we're proud to call our own. St. Louis doesn't have views like this.
