The Elwood Children's Garden in northern Illinois is an interactive space for kids to pretend and learn about nature. It is free to attend, and there is free parking on site.
You'll easily fill about an hour of time at this children's garden. It features a tiny maze, a sand pit, a pretend farm, a playhouse, small pavilions with picnic benches, and so much more. There is something here to engage each and every sense.
There are also bridges, a yellow brick path, outdoor xylophones, and even fruits and vegetables to pick. There's always something new to discover here, so there's always a reason to come back.
