Everyone loves a good waterside restaurant, and though we Illinoisans don’t live near the ocean, we still get our fill. Arguably one of the best restaurants for waterside dining in Illinois is River Beach Pub in Chillicothe. The meticulously kept gardens combined with the gorgeous view of the water make for an amazing dining experience.

As the flowers begin to bloom, the patio fills with visitors wanting to enjoy the nice weather. The gardens make outdoor dining that much more enjoyable.
January and February are great times to visit the restaurant, look out the window, and see if you can find one of these majestic birds. Bring your binoculars and camera, because it could be your lucky day.
