If you’re known as a “bottomless pit,” there’s an Italian restaurant in Peoria, Illinois that offers some all-you-can-eat specials that will fill you right up. No one can resist this famous pizza buffet that’s been going on for decades.
Fresh ingredients and authentic recipes make all the difference at this eatery. Check it out:
In business since 1986, Tyroni's Italian Cafe in central Illinois offers the most memorable dining experience if you love buffets. It is known for its fresh food and authentic recipes that have been handed down and perfected over many decades.
In some ways, the restaurant has actually been around much longer than the current owner has had claim to it. Tyler Barnes actually started working in the restaurant while in college and worked his way up to management before buying the place.
Today, Barnes is still making homemade pizza dough and other fresh ingredients on-site daily.

Catch the pizza buffet Tuesday through Friday for lunch between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Tuesday for dinner between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., as well as Sunday brunch between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. All sorts of unique pies as well as breadsticks, wings, and a salad bar are also part of the buffet.
Specialty pies that may grace the pizza buffet at this joint include the house special, the works, meat supreme, cheeseburger, chicken pizza pie, taco, fajita, and veggie.
Other specials include Way Out Wednesday where you can get half price pizzas between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. if you dine-in. The same is true for appetizers on Thursdays. No matter the day, you can buy a pizza and get the second one for half the price. You can also get $1 mimosas with brunch on Sundays.
Additional menu items include soups and salads, sandwiches, calzones, pasta, and appetizers like mozzarella sticks, nachos, stuffed meatballs, potato skins, chicken tenders, and garlic bread. You'll also find desserts like chocolate chip skillet cookie, dessert pizzas, donuts, and cheesecake.
The most unique thing about Tyroni's Pizza is that there are three different dining areas to enjoy. In addition to the buffet area in the middle, there is a sports bar-style area, most notable for the playing cards stapled to the ceiling, as well as a formal dining section that is ideal for those who want the full sit-down service.
Delivery and catering are also offered by this wonderful restaurant. General hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday as well as 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
Tyroni’s Italian Cafe is located at 5908 S Adams St., Peoria, IL 61607, and you can learn more about it on its website or Facebook page.
