This little-known pizza place belongs on your bucket list for more reasons than one. Located in the northwest Chicago suburb of Schaumburg, this is the place for that one-pound pizza slice.
In some ways, the restaurant has been around since the 1970s, but it used to be a Chicago hot dog joint. Then, it was owned by two guys named Frank and Tony, hence the name. In the 1990s, they moved it out to Schaumburg and started selling sandwiches.

It wasn't until 2013 that this historic eatery became Frato's Pizza & Catering where you can get this mind-blowing one-pound pizza slice.
Much of what makes this slice so heavy is the amount of crust. While you can get it with traditional toppings like pepperoni and sausage, patrons also enjoy more unique combinations like this.
Of course, Frato's offers many other amazing eats as well. As mentioned, the mozzarella sticks are to die for. They are wrapped in a seasoned dough and then fried.
There's always something new and unique to try at this wonderful pizzeria. There's a breakfast burger topped with a fried egg that uses a bagel as the bun as well as this one topped with mac and cheese and bacon.
Additional eats include wings, ribs, sandwiches, salads, and a plethora of delicious desserts like ice cream, brownies, root beer floats, and more. Is your mouth watering yet?
Frato’s Pizza is located at 3123, 628 S Roselle Rd., Schaumburg, IL 60193, and you can keep up with them on their official website or Facebook page. If you’ve ever tried this one-pound pizza slice, we’d love to hear from you. Please share your experiences and photos with us below in the comments.
