I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
The annual Naper Lights returns this year to downtown Naperville, beginning at Water Street and ending at City Hall. This free event starts at dusk each evening, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., and will run through New Year’s. It is a wonderful experience of holiday joy and cheer for kids and adults alike. So, grab some hot chocolate and go for a stroll!
Naper Lights has become a local family tradition creating a feeling of holiday magic for those who stroll through the lights.
Explore the downtown Naperville district and Riverwalk while taking in the enchanting view of dancing lights all around you. There is so much to discover here!
On your stroll, stop to dine at one of the fine restaurants with water views and shop for unique gifts at the retail stores to support local businesses. If you are not from the area, book a room at one of the hotels along the Riverwalk.
A combination of lights, displays, and music brings together members of the community during the holiday season, all for free! (Although donations are accepted.)
This year marks the Eighth Annual Naper Lights festivities and is organized by the Naperville Sunrise Rotary along with the Water Street Downtown Naperville. It is made possible through the generosity of local businesses and individuals who wish to give back to the community.
