Apparently, one list didn’t do it. Turns out, there are lots of towns in Illinois where, according to the FBI, your chances of being the victim of violent crime is high (or higher than average). Let’s take a look at ten more dangerous Illinois towns:

Carbondale has been at or near the top for the most dangerous college town, and it is approaching one of the more dangerous towns period.

Crime was decreasing in Kankakee, but unfortunately, it's back up again. There were 1,468 crimes reported in 2014--an increase of 14%.

Theft and narcotics have brought a rise to Granite City's crime rate in the past few years.
