The Money Museum at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is a great way to spend a morning or an afternoon for a no-cost learning adventure. It's located inside the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank which is one of a dozen federal reserve banks serving our nation.
Many of the exhibits are hands-on and interactive, allowing you and your companions to guide your own learning in whatever direction interests you most.
Every visitor can take a bag of shredded money with them when they leave. These bills were destroyed because they were printed incorrectly or because they were worn and removed from circulation. What a cool souvenir!
