I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Nestled between a red maple tree and a white oak tree is a cozy, rustic treehouse located on 400 acres of stunningly beautiful land. The property is adjacent to the Shawnee National Forest and its thousands of acres, making it the perfect place to enjoy the peace and quiet out in nature. So grab a friend, significant other, or your family and enjoy a tranquil getaway at the Maple Oak Treehouse.
The Maple Oak Treehouse is not only set amongst the tall trees, but it is built over a small creek, creating an idyllic setting to spend some time.
Just outside the treehouse is an area to make your own campfire (firewood is provided). Grab some camping chairs, relax, and make s'mores around the fire. There are also an outdoor grill, picnic table, and hammock (only in the warmer months) to relax and laze the day away.
Just inside this two-floor treehouse, you will find the main floor living room, kitchenette, and bathroom.
The loft has two beds that can accommodate up to four people, but it's best for two adults and two children. Sleep comfortably on the queen-size sleep number bed or on the full-size mattress.
The Maple Oak Treehouse is located on the property of a resort. Check-in for all guests is done at The Garden of the Gods Outpost, which also acts as the tourist information center.
Pick up some gifts and ice cream, book a guided hike, or rent a kayak while you're here!
Maple Oak Treehouse is located close to Garden of the Gods in the Shawnee National Forest as well as Rim Rock, Pounds Hollow Lake, Burden Falls, and Jackson Falls.
