Fond memories of saving up our pennies and riding our bikes to get ice cream come to mind when we see the iconic Homer’s building coming into view on Green Bay Road. Those who grew up in and around Wilmette, Illinois have likely heard of, and had many helpings of, Homer’s locally-made ice cream. They can probably tell you which flavor was their favorite, as well. Locals can’t get enough of this homemade ice cream, no matter the season.
