Located near Carbondale, Little Grassy Lake offers clear water in a setting so beautiful that it may end up being your favorite lake.

Little Grassy Lake is a 1,000-acre reservoir located in southern Illinois near Carbondale. It can be found within the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge.

This lovely body of water was created by the damming of Little Grassy Creek, a tributary of the Big Muddy River. It is four miles long, one mile wide, and has a maximum depth of 60 feet. Visitors can also enjoy over 31 miles of scenic shoreline surrounded by forest.
