Lombard Lilac Festival Parade in DuPage County will take place Sunday, May 20, 2018, and kicks off at 1:30 p.m. this year.
This is an event that brings people together. Each year, locals line their chairs up down the sides of several streets, rain or shine, amongst the lilacs, and wait for the fun to start. The parade route begins at Main and Wilson streets.
It's all a part of Lilac Days, which lasts May 4 through May 20 this year. It includes various events like craft fairs, classes, plant sales, tours, wine tastings, and much more.
If you're looking for the best place to view lilacs this time of year, get yourself to Lilacia Park, which is located at 150 S. Park Ave., Lombard, IL 60148.
