With so many fun fall attractions in the state, it can be difficult to choose which ones to enjoy. If you absolutely love pumpkins, there’s a farm in Caledonia, Illinois that is home to the Midwest’s largest pumpkin, and you’ve got to see it.

The Pumpkin Patch is a wonderful pumpkin farm in northern Illinois that has a very special claim to fame. For more than 30 years, it has been the premier place to find the grandest gourds in the Midwest.
This farm claims to be home to the largest pumpkin in the world. The giant Jack-O-Lantern sits 10 feet tall and makes for the perfect fall family photos.
General admission to the farm is free, and guests pay by each activity they would like to enjoy. Monday through Friday wrist bands are $10 and include all activities except pony and wagon rides. Tickets must be used for each different activity on Fridays and weekends.
The main reason locals flock to this farm each fall is for the pumpkins. This is the best place in the state to find that perfect pumpkin for carving and decorating.
Other activities include a seven-acre corn maze and old-fashioned wagon rides. The wagon rides are only available on weekends, and it allows participants to tour the farm as well as enjoy the u-pick pumpkin patch.
There is also a petting zoo with chickens, goats, cows, and other farm animals that guests may feed. There's also a giant pile of hay for kids to play on.
Don't forget to stop by the Barn for the bakery, cafe, and gift shop. This is where you'll find the best cider, pumpkin pies, donuts, taffy apples, and other fall treats. Hot food includes hot dogs, nachos, and chili.
The stores at The Pumpkin Patch even sells jams, spreads, seasonal decor, and Halloween costumes and props.

Open seven days a week, you can stop by between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. for the best fall activities. Grab your friends or the whole family and head to this exciting farm before autumn ends.
