La Michoacana Deluxe Ice Cream is a family-owned and operated business located in Naperville. With roots in Tocumbo in Michoacana, Mexico, the family creates unique and delicious ice cream and popsicle flavors for all to enjoy.
Items on the extensive dessert and snack menus are handmade with many creative flavors and items offered. From yogurts that are made fresh daily to handcrafted ice cream, popsicles, paletas (fruit ice cream bars), sorbets, and more, you may have to try several delicious items during your visit.
The creamy handmade ice cream comes in dozens of flavors. While more common flavors like Oreo, chocolate, bubble gum, and pistachio are available, there are some additional unique flavors you may want to try instead. For something different, order a flavor like Pine-nuts, Gansito (Mexican snack cake), Tequila & Almonds, Chocolate Abuelita (Mexican chocolate), or Horchata.
Popsicles are also made in-house. With almost three dozen flavors, there are plenty of options, both sweet and spicy. Try a Sour Pop, Nance, Kiwi, Tamarind, Watermelon, Pineapple, Spicy Coconut, Spicy Cucumber, and more!
If you want a fruit ice cream bar, which seems like a perfect combination of a popsicle AND ice cream, try one of the paletas de crema. You even have the option of having it dipped in chocolate with a choice of toppings.
Of course, there are some non-frozen goodies as well. Try a slice of birthday cake, homemade yogurt with fruit, fresh-cut strawberries with cream and granola, or a fresh fruit cocktail, among other items. If you're thirsty, one of the natural refreshing waters or fruit juices may quench your thirst.
It's not just sweets that are served here at La Michoacana! There are plenty of snacks including Cheetos con Queso, Dorinachos (Doritos with melted cheese and jalapenos served straight out of a Doritos bag), fried potato chips, and a variety of Mexican street corn.
