These 15 Jaw Dropping Places In Illinois Will Blow You Away

Illinois is so much more than the Magnificent Mile and cornfields. Everywhere you turn, there are some fantastic views. So I’m counting down my fifteen favorite views in Illinois:
1. Cave in Rock State Park provides some absolutely awesome views.
2. Farnsworth House (Plano) is a great place to visit for architecture buffs.
3. Chestnut Mountain Resort (Galena) is a great place to come out and ski.
4. Garden of the Gods (Herod) is wayyyy down south in the state, but it's worth the drive.
5. The Red Covered Bridge (Princeton) is even more beautiful set off of the winter snow.
6. There is really no better view than Wrigley Field (Chicago) at sunset.
7. One of the most scenic state parks is Starved Rock (Utica).
8. Cahokia Mounds (Collinsville) has remnants of the most sophisticated prehistoric civilization north of Mexico.
9. People love to take their selfies by the bean, but there's no denying that Millenium Park (Chicago) is a great place to visit.
10. This is a great view of the Fox River (South Elgin) at sunset.
11. The Lincoln-Berry General Store is just one of the buildings preserved in Salem.
12. Grandview Drive (Peoria) has some absolutely breaktaking views.
13. Any visitor to Metropolis has to take a pictre of this 12 foot Superman.
14. The Mississippi Palisades State Park (Savanna) is one of the best state parks in Illinois.
15. The Old Chain of Rocks Bridge goes from Edwardsville into St. Louis and crosses over the Mississippi.
