In business since 1955, Pizza House in northwest Illinois is a daily pizza diner situated at the heart of a moderate-sized town.

It is a local dive that has survived many decades and proved to be a favorite no matter how many chains come to town.

The restaurant still uses the same recipes from the past and strives to use the best ingredients available, almost all of which are fresh.

Most customers come in for the thin-crust pies and house salads. Pizzas come in smalls, mediums, and larges, as well as a 30-inch party pizza that requires at least four hours advance notice.

You can get whatever you want on your pie. Specialty pizzas include cheesy taco, BBQ, BLT, meat lovers, vegetarian, and deluxe.

You'll also find appetizers like mozzarella sticks, garlic bread, mini corn dogs, buffalo wings, breaded mushrooms, fried green beans, and so much more. Pasta and sandwiches like meatball subs, Italian beef, pork tenderloins, and pizza burgers abound.
