Liquid Blues in northern Illinois is an award-winning bar that is known for its 1970s-themed decor, delicious fish frys, and live entertainment. Of course, it is also a popular spot to drink and have a good time with friends.
From the moment you step indoors, you'll be surrounded by psychedelic posters, tie-dyed tapestries, rock-and-roll hangings, string lights, lava lamps, and beaded curtains. You'll also find a pool table, video games, and a full bar to enjoy.

This hippie-themed restaurant is all about comfort food. It specializes in organic and handmade ingredients and is best known for its fish fry Fridays. Other specials include taco Tuesdays, chicken wing Wednesdays, and sloppy joe and beef sandwiches on Thursdays.
Other menu items include starters like mozzarella sticks, mini corn dogs, onion rings, chicken tenders, and sweet potato fries. Guests also enjoy salads, sandwiches, quesadillas, burgers, wraps, shrimp, mac and cheese, and much more.

According to Liquid Blues' website, Bill Murray still occasionally visits the bar. Stop by for your chance to share a drink with this legendary actor Monday between 5 p.m. and 1 a.m., Tuesday through Thursday between 3 p.m. and 1 a.m., Friday and Saturday between 3 p.m. and 2 a.m., as well as Sunday between 3 p.m. and 1 a.m.
