1. Bloods Point Cemetery
Founded in 1936, this cemetery is famous for a woman buried there named Beaula. Apparently, she killed all of her children and haunts the cemetery. It's also supposed to stink really bad.
2. Graceland Cemetery
This is home to the creepiest statue of all time. Many people report this statue moving, or the hood coming up. Dare you to check it out!
3. Bachelor's Grove Cemetery
A woman in white carrying a baby roams this cemetery. It's also great for history buffs, especially those who are infatuated with the Mob. Apparently, many bodies were dumped here by Chicago's most famous mob families.
4. Manteno State Hospital
This was once a psychiatric hospital. It was prone to underfunding and overcrowding, eventually closing. This wasn't before many people died from lack of treatment. Many visitors report paranormal activity.
5. Peoria Public Library
A ghost is said to roam the stacks here. Many employees have reported hearing their names called when they are not around. Also, people have reported seeing the ghost of a former library employee.
6. Peoria State Hospital
This was once a large asylum in Illinois. It is said to be haunted by a few ghosts. One man, a patient who also worked at the facility, is said to have been seen at his own funeral.
7. Mineral Springs
This was once a place come to by people seeking miracle cures. The mineral springs were supposed to have healing properties. The hotel is now a mall, but the pool still remains, and it is haunted.
8. Greenwood Cemetery
It was founded in 1857, but it was the burial ground of Native Americans long before that. Many people report that there are restless souls here, and they have reported seeing and hearing strange activity.
9. McPike Mansion
This mansion has been around since 1859. For decades now, it has been reported as a hotbed of paranormal activity. Numerous people have reported seeing ghosts. Others have said they saw orbs of lights.
10. Cahokia Mounds
Once upon a time, this was the home to the most sophisticated civilization north of Mexico. Ghosts of some of these former residents have been reported here. It's a lovely place to visit, but it can seem like there is haunted activity.
