I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
Creating things is part of human nature. Whether it’s writing or making a piece of art, there’s something about creating a beautiful piece that really satisfies the soul. If you’ve ever been curious about the art of making glass and glassblowing, there’s a studio you need to check out. J Draper Glass in Peoria offers hands-on classes that will teach you how to make a glass creation under the guidance of an expert instructor.
J Draper Glass LLC in Peoria is an art studio located within the Studios On Sheridan. It is owned by instructor and artist Jeremie Draper.
Through attending one of the studio's hands-on classes, team-building workshops, tours, or open house demonstrations, you'll gain an appreciation for the art of glassblowing.
During a class, you will gain a better understanding of glass as an art form. Passionate instructors will engage and guide you through the process as you create something beautiful out of glass.
This isn't just for adults: children age six and older can participate as well. It's a unique and memorable experience for all and a wonderful activity to do as a family.
Choose a class based on what object you'd like to make. From a bowl to a cheese platter, vase, ornament, sun catcher, bowl, or pumpkin, there are plenty of options.
Classes are small and intimate with no more than 10 students and all skill levels are welcome. It's the perfect way to learn and you'll even get to take home what you made in class. It's truly a unique experience everyone should try at least once!
If you don't make it to the hot shop for a class, there are glass pieces available for purchase either at the studio or online. All items are handmade on-site by one of the artists. These gorgeous glass creations make perfect unique gifts.
