I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
Are you in need of a getaway with scenic nature views? Set atop bluffs in Lewiston is a flower farm with epic views of the surrounding wetland preserve. There are so many one-of-a-kind places we can choose to go glamping these days, and Black Sheep Flower Farm may very well give you the unique stay you are looking for.
Black Sheep Flower Farm rests on an idyllic acreage filled with fields of chemical-free flowers, prairie, and forest. It's a magical setting for a relaxing time away.
Overlooking the Spoon River Valley from the bluffs, you can take in sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. You won't see stunning vistas like these anywhere else!
The farm's glamping accommodation is a canvas bell tent that is set halfway in the woods and halfway in the field. Explore the 10 acres of woods behind the tent to gather your own wood and make a campfire at the provided fire pit.
The additional acreage of fields, including two flower fields, provides a lovely serene area to take a stroll. Located in the surrounding towns close to the farm are wineries, a museum, and restaurants.
You may also choose to rent a kayak from the farm to explore the nearby 15 acres of wetlands or go fishing at Emiquon Preserve.
The interior of the tent is furnished with a comfortable double bed and a side table. Bed linens, lights, and a fan are also provided. Although the space is quite nice, you'll want to spend most of your time enjoying the farm's stunning natural surroundings.
Black Sheep Flower Farm is seasonal, operating from May through October with additional sales in November. If you don't make it here for glamping, you can at least visit the farm to buy some gorgeous flowers grown on the property!
