Li'l Willy's is a much newer restaurant compared to many across Illinois, having opened in the fall of 2020. However, that hasn't seemed to stop it from saucing up some of the best smoked meats around.
They come in half or full slabs like many other places, but the difference lies in the seasonings, treatment, and sauce. The BBQ is made fresh every day, but the house-made sauces enhance what is already amazing.
Anyone visiting Willy's for the first time might be asking about the shoe on the menu. Meet the Willy Shoe, which is cornbread, mac and cheese, and burnt ends, all hidden by a blanket of cheese and willy dust. Doesn't that sound scrumptious? If you have room after ribs, that is.
