The Arboretum in Bethalto has transformed into a winter wonderland of glass cottages filled with Christmas characters, wire art, a nativity, and trees all aglow with twinkling lights. The Bethalto Christmas Village is pure magic to stroll through! This free event is organized and put together by residents, businesses, and organizations of the community.

Bethalto Christmas Village runs daily from  November 27, 2020, through January 1, 2021, until 9 pm and is designed to be fun for the whole family.

There are a couple of ways to enjoy the Christmas Village here in Bethalto. You can either drive by or meander along the half-mile paved pathway through all the lights, cottages, and trees. Whatever you choose to do, the lights and scenery will surely be enchanting!

Each year, residents are given the chance to support the Christmas Village and families of the community by sponsoring a six-foot-tall live tree adorned with lights and can do so in honor or in memory of someone.

These are the "Giving Trees," which are each marked with the name of the individual(s) who sponsored the tree. They're on display at the Arboretum until a week before Christmas, then they're removed and donated to families who otherwise would not have a tree for the holiday.
