In business since 1945, The Chili Parlor in central Illinois is a nationally acclaimed restaurant that is family-owned and operated.
It has been featured on PBS and Travel Channel's Man Vs. Food and Food Paradise. It was originally handed down through generations before being passed on to locals in the area to have kept the same original recipe.
The place has expanded over the years. What used to be a cozy diner with just 11 stools now has space for several families and many patrons to dine in.
Originally known as "The Den," the restaurant specializes in chili and everything that comes with chili in or on it. Many appreciate the classic dish by itself with sides.
You can order chili by the bowl (small or large) or even by the pint and quart at this chili restaurant. Whether it's just you or an entire family, this place has you covered.
For dessert, guests can order ice cream, and there are also drinks available like coffee, milk, and soda. You won't finish a meal from here feeling hungry.
