There are not many like it, and that is one of the reasons that it is on the National Register of Historic Places. But besides looking charming and being antiquated, it is also legitimately haunted. Many people have reported an uncanny stillness they experience when they cross the bridge. It is absolutely creepy to anyone who crosses it. But there is another level to this creepiness, and it is real. More than 35 years ago, a dismembered torso of a woman was found floating under this bridge.
