This state park in Idaho is home to the tallest free-standing sand dune in North America. This dune reaches up to 470 feet, and exploring it is just one of the many things you can do at this Idaho park.
There are two boarding options available at the park’s visitor center: stand-up and sled. This is a great way to enjoy the sand dunes, and it is an activity the entire family can experience together.
If you want to explore the sand dunes in a much calmer way, go on a hike. While there are several trails you can tackle, one that you’ll want to consider is the Bruneau Dunes Loop.
This 2.3-mile loop trail is difficult at times, but unforgettable. The trail takes you up a steep sand dune, and while it may challenge you, you’ll receive beautiful lake and sand dune views.
