Wine enthusiasts, clear your calendars! There’s an epic food and wine festival coming to Idaho very soon and you’ll want to make sure that you don’t miss it.
Idaho’s wine country is one of our best kept secrets. The rest of the country seems to be totally oblivious to our perfect vineyards and wineries. However, we’ve been well-aware of Idaho’s fantastic wine for years. Eagle Food And Wine Festival takes place every year and it’s meant to be a large celebration of Idaho’s local food and wine industry. This is bound to be an evening of delicious wine and good company. Keep scrolling for more information.
Clear your plans for September 22 because you'll probably be spending your evening gulping down good wine and indulging in delicious eats at the 12th annual Eagle Food and Wine Festival.
The festival is a celebration of "the culinary and viticulture delights of our community". A variety of local wineries and restaurants are highlighted, ensuring that festival goers get a true sense of what makes our region so unique when it comes to food and wine.
The food promises to be diverse with restaurants such as 10 Barrel Brewing (American), Bella Aquila (Italian), Rice (Asian), and Caci (Sicilian)—just to name a few.
This event is eagerly anticipated every year by foodies and wine lovers alike. There will also be live music which acts as the perfect backdrop to this big, mouthwatering party. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the elegant and lively atmosphere!
Of course, the highlight of the festival is getting to sample as many Idaho wines as you can muster. A variety of wineries from all over the Gem State plan to be there (plus one brewery for the beer lovers).
The best part of attending the festival? It benefits charity. A portion of festival proceeds are donated to local organizations every single year, so you can feel extra good about attending. In the past, charities such as The Boys and Girls Club, Eagle Food Bank, and Meals on Wheels have all benefited.
Tickets to the event cost $45 and provides admission, a commemorative wine glass, and access to all of the special food and wine pairings. There are no additional fees for food or wine. The cost of the ticket gets you a tasting at each restaurant and winery.
Are you sold, yet? The event will take place at Banbury Golf Course in Eagle, Idaho from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Be sure to buy your tickets soon! You can purchase them here.
What do you think? Will you attend this fantastic food and wine festival? If you can’t make it to the festival, you can always plan a weekend at this winery and bed & breakfast for whenever is convenient for you.
