For a laid-back, “tropical” destination, Idaho is not typically synonymous with beach getaways. But there are more than a few beaches dotting the state that will change your mind.
The Gem State’s Panhandle is already known for its idyllic lakes and picturesque natural beauty; truth be told, there’s no single bay in North Idaho that isn’t a scenic, magical place to kick back and unwind. Fortunately, Idaho’s sand beaches are underrated hot spots since you have to know where to find and access them – go too far north and you’ll find yourself spreading that beach towel on top of rocks!
