Riggins is a small town located on Highway 95, north of Boise. While it is known for its unique location in a beautiful canyon at the confluence of the Salmon and the Little Salmon Rivers, as well as its many outdoor recreation opportunities, there are a few other attractions around town that are worth making the drive including the River Rock Café. This delightful Idaho café features quite the menu and homemade food that will not leave you disappointed. It is a day trip destination in Idaho that you’ll be glad you experienced at least once.
Welcome to the River Rock Café! You’ll find this charming place to eat right on Main Street in Riggins.
This café certainly lives up to its small-town charm. From the minute you arrive and walk inside, you’ll be impressed and delighted. This restaurant has a western, cabin-like feel that is certainly inviting.
While River Rock Café serves all three meals throughout the day, the breakfast options on the menu are some of the most popular. Fortunately, breakfast is served all day long so even if you don’t want to arrive early, you can still taste some of this Idaho cafe's incredible options.
The homemade biscuits and sausage gravy, pancakes, and omelets are quite delicious, but many people come for the chicken fried steak. It’s large, flavorful, and some of the best in the entire state.
If you come for lunch or dinner, try the pizza, calzones, salmon, or even homemade chicken fettuccine alfredo. This café truly does serve everything that your heart desires.
And make sure you check out the daily specials if you want to try something unique. Plus, to make lunch and dinner even more satisfying, you can order a beer, glass of wine, or a delicious dessert to go with your meal.
Whether you come for breakfast, lunch, or dinner (or maybe even all three!), you’ll be glad you stopped by the River Rock Café. This restaurant is a hidden — and delicious — gem in the small town of Riggins.
