Winter in Idaho is not only beautiful, but it is also exciting! There are so many ways to play in the snow from skiing and snowboarding to snow tubing to more. One of the best destinations to enjoy the winter weather is the Activity Barn in McCall. This unique winter destination has something for everyone including some of the best snow tubing in Idaho.
The Activity Barn is located at 141 Moonridge Drive in McCall. In the summer, it is actually a working cattle ranch. But, once the snow starts to fall, it transforms into an incredible place to play.
While there are many winter activities offered at the Activity Barn, snow tubing is one of the best. Here, you will find some of the best snow tubing hills in Idaho and oodles of fun.
The Activity Barn offers multiple groomed lanes where you can soar down the mountain. Plus, you won't exhaust all of your energy as you climb back up. You can take a ride on the Magic Carpet to the top of the hill in just minutes.
Only one person is allowed per tube — no lap riding is allowed. Children must be at least 36 inches tall and able to pull their own tubes to participate in this winter activity.
While snow tubing is a great way to spend a winter day in Idaho, it’s not the only popular activity at the Activity Barn. You can also explore the Nordic Trail.
The Nordic Trail is a groomed cross-country, snowshoe, and fat tire bike trail. It connects to the North Valley Rail Trail, so you can easily spend your entire day outdoors.
Gear rentals are not available at the Activity Barn, so you will need to bring your own. Most importantly, the trail is free to use, so you never have to worry about breaking the bank to spend some time outdoors.
