After severe flooding over the weekend, the only paved road that connects this small town to anywhere else has been closed. While flooding has neared West Magic Road on several occasions, this seems to be the first time in decades that the road itself has flooded.
The first sign of these treacherous conditions was discovered Friday night, when a woman was caught in her vehicle in the flooded area and had to wait until she was rescued.

The woman reported that she was in her vehicle for nearly three hours and watched fearfully as the waters continued to rise. Fortunately, not all hope is lost as the flooding has already decreased from 400 yards to 125 yards since Friday.
