There are a surprising amount of historic buildings in Idaho that have been kept in pristine condition. Many of them have been given new life by converting them for new uses. That’s exactly the case with this historic bank building. Instead of sitting abandoned in the small town of Menan, it’s been wonderfully transformed into one of the finest steakhouses our state has seen. This Idaho steakhouse has quickly become a go-to spot for locals and travelers looking for a delicious and perfectly prepared steak. The historic little community of Menan can be found in Eastern Idaho outside of Idaho Falls. This town may be small but you may just be surprised by what's hiding here, including the charming steakhouse called the Teton House.
The Teton House, formerly known as Watson's Bar & Sandwich Shop, has quickly become one of the most hoppin' spots in town. Not only is it known for serving up delicious steaks, but it's location couldn't be more unique.
The restaurant can be found within what was once the Menan Bank. This incredible historical landmark was built in the early 1900s, and it certainly looks it. The stone architecture, the old-fashioned bar, the vintage furniture—all of it looks straight out of a bygone era.
The restaurant opened just a couple years ago, but it's already proven itself as one of eastern Idaho's most treasured steakhouses. The two owners, Leo Hancock and Danielle Dexter, lived in Washington before settling down in Rigby, Idaho. Their dream was to open a delicious restaurant, and we think they've definitely made that happen!
On the menu, you'll find a wide selection of hearty Idaho-style dishes. Chicken Fried Steak, Prime Rib, Lobster, Rib Eye—each dish is prepared to perfect and it's bound to satiate even the hungriest appetite.
Simply put, if you're the type of person the enjoys large portions of mouthwatering, wholesome food, then this is the place for you. You can't go wrong with one of their juicy and carefully grilled steaks. They are perfection.
