With more than two dozen state parks scattered across the Gem State, there is plenty to do and see in Idaho. While we love our state parks, many of the larger state parks seem to take the spotlight. But, there is one small state park that we highly recommend and that is a hidden gem worth exploring — Lake Walcott State Park. At just over 60 acres, this state park is definitely tiny but mighty. Spending time here is one adventure that you will not want to miss.
Have you been to Lake Walcott State Park? If so, what were your favorite activities at this park? Let us know in the comments! You can learn more about this Idaho state park on the Idaho State Parks and Recreation website.
Also along Lake Walcott is the Minidoka National Wildlife Refuge. Grab your camera and spend some time in this refuge during your visit. It’s a beautiful destination with wildlife and incredible Idaho views.
